If you've never bothered to read the terms and conditions for use of Craigslist - you might want to. The following is a direct cut and paste from the erotic services thread:

A: Here are some of the measures we take, many of which are absent from newspaper classifieds and telephone yellow pages:

We ban all illegal activity in our Terms of Use
We place prominent notices on our posting forms warning against illegal activity
We provide a community moderation system whereby our users flag inappropriate ads for removal
We place prominent notices asking users to flag inappropriate ads
We block ads containing language that in our experience has a high likelihood of violating our Terms of Use
We remove inappropriate ads that are brought to our attention
We prohibit the use of all adult-oriented categories by persons under the age of 18
We label adult content using the industry standard PICS rating sytem
We place notices encouraging users to report any suspected abuse of minors
We maintain a resource page to assist users in reporting suspected abuse of minors
We block persons violating our Terms of Use from posting
We maintain information pages regarding user safety on craigslist
We respond promptly to inquiries and requests for assistance from law enforcement officers
We give periodic briefings for groups of law enforcement officers on how to efficiently obtain information from craigslist.

Just a little something to think about before you either place your next ad or respond to an ad on CL.

General vs. Supporting Memberships

There have been some comments recently that I feel I need to respond to directly. This site began, continues to be, and always will be absolutely free to join.

In the 4 months since we began we have grown to almost 900 members now. Managing the site and reviewing posts to insure compliance with the rules requires a lot more time now than it did 3 months ago - I hope that it will require even more time in the future.

Since we began, several people have offered to help with the site. Each has provided assistance in their own fashion for a short period of time, but only one has had the tenacity to stick around - Thank you 4X4.

We do offer the option for members to purchase supporting level memberships. We also allow providers and or members to purchase a dedicated forum for a specific lady. These options help to offset the costs of running this site. They are not required to be able to post in any specific area (other than the supporting members area). My personal thanks to every single supporting member - I truely do appreciate your support.

The purpose of the subscriptions is not to create a giant cash cow (if it was I'd be a terrible failure already and I've never failed at anything I tried) but to help offset the mounting costs of maintaining the site.

Monthly ticket sales have been questioned, but something you should understand is I provide a personal guarentee regardless of how many tickets sell or not. Again, the idea is to have some fun and promote the community, not to turn a profit.

There also seems to be a misperception about who can post and/or reply in the review forum. The review forum is dedicated to reviews of a single specific event. Any member can post a review of their experience and the provider may reply to that review. Members cannot reply, add on, or dispute a review.

If you have questions or comments about a lady please post them in the questions forum. If you want additional info about a particular review please send a PT to the member posting the review.

Ticket #16. The numbers in the order drawn tonight were: 16,52,9,23,51 & 12.

I want to say thank you to the 10 individual members who purchased tickets this month. JadeStone will be sent a PT identifying who the winner is and of course he already knows.

I won't publicly identify him unless he gives the o.k., but I hope that he will post a review regardless of whether he chooses to be identified as the contest winner.

Supporting memberships are now available. Supporting members are those that are willing to make a small financial contribution towards maintaining this site. Supporting membership IS NOT required to access the site.

Supporting memberships are for a period of one year and member levels will be identified in individual public profiles unless you request otherwise.

UPDATED: For April 2008
Bronze Membership - $40 now w/2 tickets
Silver Membership - $60 includes 4 tickets
Gold Membership - $80 includes 6 tickets
Emerald Membership - $115 includes 8 tickets


All supporting membership levels grant the member access to the paid members areas. Emerald level also features enhanced viewing features not available at any other level. Emerald members who purchase 4 tickets in future contests will automatically be given 1 free ticket as well.
